Merry Christmas

Yesterday we celebrated Christmas Eve with our families. We had a great time! At lunch we went to Jenny's house and everything we decorated so cute. I love her house and all her Christmas decorations.  Charles and Terry made Steaks and Scallops! OMG! Was the food delicious. We opened gifts upstairs and I just loved seeing Hailey and Hayden smile with excitement with all their gifts. Terry and Missy got us all our plates and dishes for our house. The Geisers got me the cutest socks, gc to TJ max and my cute new Van shoes! Jeremy surprised me with so much. He got my pink Nike Pegasus, Tiffany blue Sky high Nikes, Tyme curler/straightener and a very cute dunk donuts shirt. He loves to spoil me. We had a great time at the Geiser HomE.  For Dinner we went to my parents house. They had been gone for 2 weeks in MX so it was great to see them. My dad cooked steaks, ribs, brautworst and my mom made all the sides. SOOOOOOO YUMMY! We all wore ugly sweaters, played Secret Santa and white ...

Pajama Party

So last night I threw my first get together in my new home. A few ladies and myself spent our evening in pajamas, playing crazy holiday games and watching a movie. I had a blast and it seems like everyone else did as well. Our night was filled with so much laughter, I can't wait to have more get together soon in my new home. Thanks to the ladies who made it out, y'all are the best.

Christmas Tree

Today Jeremy and I put up our first Christmas tree. In the 7 years that Ive known him he never put a tree up so it's very special that were able to do this together in our beautiful new home. I was so excited to pick all the perfect decorations for the tree and I think it came out beautifully. I love days like today where we can create special memories like this.

Our Dream Home

October 21, 2015 When Jeremy and I first started dating we would go to neighborhoods and look at houses being built, and just imagine what it would be like to own a house of our own together. It was always one my favorite "dates" with him. we would talk about the specific changes we would make to the house to make it unique and we would pick other houses apart. Being with him and looking at houses always felt right. :)  A year ago around my birthday I remember Jeremy saying he found this community that was building Shaddock homes (which was always one of my favs) so I went and checked out the model home and fell in love. Then when Jeremy showed me the lot he wanted for us, it literally felt perfect.   I didn't think we'd actually be blessed enough to start the process of building a home and ending up with what is truly our Dream House. We both have worked so hard to be able to accomplish this goal that we reached out for and I thank God for blessing us with this beaut...

Hello 31

I turned 31 on Thursday and it has been a wonderful start. 30 was such an amazing year, Jeremy and I got married we began the process of building a home, I found out my sis was pregnant and I got to spend time with my family from Mexixo and meet new family in Kentucky. Although there were some tough moments of loosing our loved ones and furbaby, God truly blessed me with an unforgettable year and I am looking forward to see what he has in store for 31? So far these past couple days have been great. I received so many special gifts from my students, family and Jeremy and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch and day with my family today. I absolutely love my family and feel so blessed to have been able to celebrate with the people I love.  Click on the link to see a cute video of photos from my first year in my 30s.  http://flipagram.com/f/dorJmaNRYp

Balancing life as a teacher and wife

Jeremy and I have been husband and wife for 3 months today. Sometimes I browse through all my wedding photos and can't help but to smile and remember how special that day was. It's hard to believe that day  was JUST 3 months ago. It was truly a day I will never forget.  I started back at work in August and it has been tough. The beginning of the school year requires so much time that there are days when I just feel helpless. I know all professions have their demands but being a teacher is one TOUGH job. Along with working and educating kids from 7:45-3:15 I arrive to work 45 min early to prep for the day, I stay late after work for meetings and to tie up all the loose ends. I leave work with a bag full of papers that need to be graded, binders with my students names that I try to keep up to date in order to provide my students with an education that's based on their needs. I have school books and lesson plans that also need to be taken care, lamination that needs to be ...

Baby Niece, Analisa Sofia

My baby sister is having a baby!!! I've been waiting to blog about my sister having a baby girl for a while now. So I'm totally excited to announce baby Analisa will be here February 2016. I'm looking forward to being an aunt to a sweet little girl. I love being an aunt and spending time with James and having all our fun adventures. I can't wait to see how James interacts with her and protects her.  I know he's going to be a great cousin to her. I want to share a little about how I did the gender reveal for Jenni and Steven. Since it was only going to be the 4 of us I didn't want anything massive and balloon filled lol. So I went and bought 2 sippy cups, one pink and one blue and decorated them with the baby names and stickers and bought a jar that I also decorated.  I then tried out all different kinds of powder that wouldn't give the color away  (jello, pudding, kool aid) When they started pouring water into the cup the powder began turning pinking.  And t...

Adios Summer 2015

Well it's official, my summer has ended. I went into my school today and spent my day prepping my classroom. It's a bittersweet feeling as I know that for the next 10 months I pretty much devote my life into being the best teacher I can be, which tends to takes time away from friends, family and loved ones but my goal this school year is to lighten my load and take care of myself as well.  So as my summer ends I want to reflect on all the amazing, and not so amazing things that made my summer absolutely unforgettable. To start, my sweet nephew, James turned 4! I can not believe how fast time goes by. We had a fun time celebrating his pirate themed bday party with him.  I also got married (as if you didn't know). Jeremy gave me my dream wedding and everything was so perfect. Possibly my favorite experience in my whole life, being surrounded by my friends and family and devoting my life to the man of my dreams.   Another great thing about this summer was all the time I was ...

A year ago Jeremy and I were on our summer vacation, that year we decided to go Miami Florida. We stayed at the Ritz in a suite and everything was so perfect. He arranged a special dinner at Prime 112, the food was so delicious and we ordered a bottle of wine. When the waiter brought us the wine he told us that him and his wife keep their wine Corks  and write the events down so he wrote, "Prime 112 & 8/8/14" and he left the pen on the table for us to add our own writing. Well when I went to the ladies room and came back Jeremy had written on the cork, "Will You Marry Me?"   I literally was ecstatic and so surprised. It was such a special way to ask and a day I will never forget.  We've officially been married for 6 weeks and I could not be happier being his wife. Everyday is an adventure and I'm loving every second of it.  I've attached the link to our engagement photos (all of them) that I put together as a little video. Enjoy.  http://flipagram.co...
