Chloe’s Learning

    Chloe saying her colors Chloe saying her shapes When I became a mom, I wanted nothing but the best life for my baby girl. I was thankful to have spent 12 weeks home with her on maternity leave but was so sad to have to go back to work for 6 more months until summer break. Those 6 months, were loooong and hard, I had a difficult time Managing everything because I always put 💯 percent in everything I do. So I wanted the best for my 22 students but I also wanted the best for my baby girl. Plus considering I was doing majority of the mom/wife duties at home I was exhausted and felt like I wasn’t able to give Chloe all of me. That’s why I was happy to be able to have the opportunity to stay home with Chloe.  Although I miss the “art of teaching” (not all the BS that comes with it) I’m thankful that I am able to transfer my teaching skills and focus my time on Chloe.  Chloe is almost 2 years old, since she was a baby we’ve read books every night. 4th of July

                                          Happy 4th of July!  Today ended up being an impromptu family day and it was so much fun. Since 4th of July ended  up being on a Wednesday we didn’t have anything planned since J had to work yesterday and will work tomorrow as well. So we were just going to hang out at my moms house, but then over a stream of text this morning we ended up making plans to go to Fort Worth and spend the day there with my sister’s family.  We stopped on the way @cousinsbarbecue it was our first time to eat their food and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered chicken, ribs, sausage and chopped brisket, along with fried okra, black eyed peas and slaw. The fried okra and ribs were my absolute favorite but honestly all of it was delicious.
