Happy 4th of July!
Today ended up being an impromptu family day and it was so much fun. Since 4th of July ended
up being on a Wednesday we didn’t have anything planned since J had to work yesterday and will work tomorrow as well. So we were just going to hang out at my moms house, but then over a stream of text this morning we ended up making plans to go to Fort Worth and spend the day there with my sister’s family.
We stopped on the way @cousinsbarbecue it was our first time to eat their food and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered chicken, ribs, sausage and chopped brisket, along with fried okra, black eyed peas and slaw. The fried okra and ribs were my absolute favorite but honestly all of it was delicious. When you head to Fort Worth don’t foreget to check out Cousins Barbecue
We spent some time at my sister’s house to let the girls play and they were so excited to see each other. I just love how happy the get when they are together. Chloe absolutely loves her Anna and TiTi.
Afterwards we decided to go to the Shops at Clearfork. The shops are beautiful, they have so many high end stores like Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co, Neiman Marcus etc. Just walking around the shops was lovely. The girls were in the wagon, they had plenty of shade to where the summer heat wasn’t unbearable, and they had the yummiest gelato @AmornioGelato. The Gelato is so delicious. they make your gelato cone into the shape of a flower, it’s so pretty and yummy. I tried the tiramisu, blueberry cheesecake and limón. Limón and blueberry cheesecake were the best. My hubs and BIL got the strawberry gelato smoothie and they both said they very good. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Overall it was a great family day and I know that Chloe enjoyed being with everyone, and honestly seeing her smile and happy is all I ever want.
