San Antonio Road Trip 2018

My sister and I were able to get free passes for sixflags using our teacher certification numbers. If you’re a teacher you need to check out all the cool discounts and free stuff you get from using IdMe. So we decided that we would road trip to San Antonio and take the girls with us. My parents and nephew decided to join in on the fun and thankfully my sister has a big  car to accommodate so many of us.
I wasn’t sure how Chloe was going to do in the car that long and thankfully my sister had little stops along the way to help with the girls.
So we took off from Fort Worth on Tuesday morning at 8:30 headed to our first stop bluebonnet cafe in marble falls. They have the yummiest pies!http://www.bluebonnetcafe.net/ a little over an hour in and Chloe started showing off her Loco side, she was not happy being in the car staring at the back of a seat. We tried to color, watch Moana, dance and sing to Mickey Mouse but nothing was working. Thankful we made it to marble falls to eat and we didn’t have to wait long for a table at all. Little food and pie helped us all out.

We got back into the car for another hour drive to Hays County to go to Jacob’s Well. Jacobs well was a pretty cool place, you have to make about a quarter mile hike to get there which was fun carrying the girls since you can’t take strollers or anything like that. I just considered it a mini workout. 💪🏽. The water was cold but clear blue and beautiful. We had a wonderful time swimming and jumping into the well. None of us were brave enough to jump from the very top of the cliff but we jumped from the middle one. If you’re driving to Austin make sure you stop off in Hayes County to experience it.  Here are a few facts about Jacob’s Well.
Jacob’s Well is the second largest fully submerged cave in Texas. The deepest part of the cavern system is 140 feet deep. The main cavern length is 4,341 feet and the secondary cavern, which branches off the main cavern, is 1,314 feet in length. The water temperature stays a constant 68°F.

From Jacob’s Well our next stop was to San Antonio bout an hour and half to go! Thankfully Chloe passed out for about 45 min of the trip. The other part of the trip we just had to deal with Coco Loco. Needless to say we were beyond happy to arrive at our hotel the Omni Hotel La Mansion https://m.omnihotels.com/h5/property?pagePath=%2Fhotels%2Fsan-antonio-la-mansion-del-rio. The staff was so welcoming to our little squad. They already had a crib set up in our room for Chloe. When we ordered room service they would always send up two soppy cups for the girls. And every time we walked through the hotel they all greeted our girls. We were so happy to have stayed there.

Once we got to San Antonio the rest of the trip we front faced Chloe in the middle row and had absolutely no issues at all as we drove around everywhere. Let the mom shaming begin for front facing her before she turns two but hey! We had to do what we had to do. Since she did so well front facing we kept it that way on the way home too and guess what? No issues what so ever. Thank the Lord.

I’ll leave you all with a video of our trip to Sea World along with some cool pics from Jacob’s Well and our hotel.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!  Today ended up being an impromptu family day and it was so much fun. Since 4th of July ended  up being on a Wednesday we didn’t have anything planned since J had to work yesterday and will work tomorrow as well. So we were just going to hang out at my moms house, but then over a stream of text this morning we ended up making plans to go to Fort Worth and spend the day there with my sister’s family.  We stopped on the way @cousinsbarbecue it was our first time to eat their food and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered chicken, ribs, sausage and chopped brisket, along with fried okra, black eyed peas and slaw. The fried okra and ribs were my absolute favorite but honestly all of it was delicious. When you head to Fort Worth don’t foreget to check out  Cousins Barbecue We spent some time ...

Our Dream Home

October 21, 2015 When Jeremy and I first started dating we would go to neighborhoods and look at houses being built, and just imagine what it would be like to own a house of our own together. It was always one my favorite "dates" with him. we would talk about the specific changes we would make to the house to make it unique and we would pick other houses apart. Being with him and looking at houses always felt right. :)  A year ago around my birthday I remember Jeremy saying he found this community that was building Shaddock homes (which was always one of my favs) so I went and checked out the model home and fell in love. Then when Jeremy showed me the lot he wanted for us, it literally felt perfect.   I didn't think we'd actually be blessed enough to start the process of building a home and ending up with what is truly our Dream House. We both have worked so hard to be able to accomplish this goal that we reached out for and I thank God for blessing us with this beaut...

8 week Results

I’ve officially been taking Ketones for 8 weeks so here’s my update! Since my last measurements done 4 weeks ago I’ve only lost 1.2lbs but my total weight loss since starting ketone has been 5.2lbs! Which is pretty amazing! However I’m not too worried about the weight loss because as you can see I’m loosing inches y’all! In these past 4 weeks I’ve lost a total of 4.6 inches which means in 8 weeks I’ve lost about 8in total. I’m seeing results physically but let’s also talk about the other benefits, I still love the energy the Ketones are giving me, I only take one pack a day in the morning and can fast until about  11am  (Lunch time) , basically fasting for 16 hours. One day I plan to do a 24 hour fast while only taking ketones. I’ll let y’all know how that goes.  Sleeping has been amazing, and what’s crazy is I can remember my dreams now, although some I’d rather forget. My cravings continue to decrease, maybe it’s the fact that now I know how many carbs are ...
