Chloe’s first day of Early Learners Class

Today was Chloe’s first day of School. We decided it would be good for her to socialize and be around kids a few hours a week, so we decided to enroll her twice a week for half days. I’ve been dreading today for about a month now, just thinking about how the drop off would go, how will Chloe be without me and so forth. It gave me the worse “mommy anxiety” but I tried to stay positive and hyped up the whole school idea for a few days leading up to it. I got her the cutest little outfit from #sparkleinpink and ordered these adorable cookies from #dotsandbows cookies for her teacher.  This morning I woke her up around 6:50iah bout 30-45 min earlier than she normally wakes up. We ended up sleeping together since for some reason she refused to sleep in her crib but as I laid there with her arm wrapped around me I couldn’t help but to smile and think, maybe this will be our new tradition; sleepover before the first day of school. (We’ll see how long that last). ...

Chloe’s Learning

Chloe saying her colors Chloe saying her shapes When I became a mom, I wanted nothing but the best life for my baby girl. I was thankful to have spent 12 weeks home with her on maternity leave but was so sad to have to go back to work for 6 more months until summer break. Those 6 months, were loooong and hard, I had a difficult time Managing everything because I always put 💯 percent in everything I do. So I wanted the best for my 22 students but I also wanted the best for my baby girl. Plus considering I was doing majority of the mom/wife duties at home I was exhausted and felt like I wasn’t able to give Chloe all of me. That’s why I was happy to be able to have the opportunity to stay home with Chloe.  Although I miss the “art of teaching” (not all the BS that comes with it) I’m thankful that I am able to transfer my teaching skills and focus my time on Chloe.  Chloe is almost 2 years old, since she was a baby we’ve read books every night. 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!  Today ended up being an impromptu family day and it was so much fun. Since 4th of July ended  up being on a Wednesday we didn’t have anything planned since J had to work yesterday and will work tomorrow as well. So we were just going to hang out at my moms house, but then over a stream of text this morning we ended up making plans to go to Fort Worth and spend the day there with my sister’s family.  We stopped on the way @cousinsbarbecue it was our first time to eat their food and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered chicken, ribs, sausage and chopped brisket, along with fried okra, black eyed peas and slaw. The fried okra and ribs were my absolute favorite but honestly all of it was delicious. When you head to Fort Worth don’t foreget to check out  Cousins Barbecue We spent some time ...

Low Carb Breakfast

So eating low Carb is actually one of the easiest life style changes I’ve made. There are still so many healthy and easy options to make and I love making breakfast now. Here are a few of my favorite recipes with the Macros from @myfitnesspal too.    Egg Bell Pepper *cut a round part of a bell pepper bout an inch thick put iron pan and let it sit for a bit in oil * crack a brown organic egg inside the round part of the bell pepper and let it cook just enough to be able to flip (like your making an over easy egg *flip cook a bit longer take out of pan and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.   Cheese omelet and bacon  *make an omelet stuffed with cheese  *top with tbs of salsa * eat with 2 slices of bacon EASY!  Cottage Cheese with Strawberries  * get the full fat cottage cheese 1/2 a cup *chop up 3 strawberries *sprinkle with half of a 1/4 of a cup of pecans.   People get the misconception that eating low c...

8 week Results

I’ve officially been taking Ketones for 8 weeks so here’s my update! Since my last measurements done 4 weeks ago I’ve only lost 1.2lbs but my total weight loss since starting ketone has been 5.2lbs! Which is pretty amazing! However I’m not too worried about the weight loss because as you can see I’m loosing inches y’all! In these past 4 weeks I’ve lost a total of 4.6 inches which means in 8 weeks I’ve lost about 8in total. I’m seeing results physically but let’s also talk about the other benefits, I still love the energy the Ketones are giving me, I only take one pack a day in the morning and can fast until about  11am  (Lunch time) , basically fasting for 16 hours. One day I plan to do a 24 hour fast while only taking ketones. I’ll let y’all know how that goes.  Sleeping has been amazing, and what’s crazy is I can remember my dreams now, although some I’d rather forget. My cravings continue to decrease, maybe it’s the fact that now I know how many carbs are ...

San Antonio Road Trip 2018

My sister and I were able to get free passes for sixflags using our teacher certification numbers. If you’re a teacher you need to check out all the cool discounts and free stuff you get from using IdMe. So we decided that we would road trip to San Antonio and take the girls with us. My parents and nephew decided to join in on the fun and thankfully my sister has a big  car to accommodate so many of us.  I wasn’t sure how Chloe was going to do in the car that long and thankfully my sister had little stops along the way to help with the girls.  So we took off from Fort Worth on Tuesday morning at 8:30 headed to our first stop bluebonnet cafe in marble falls. They have the yummiest pies! http://www.bluebonnetcafe.net/  a little over an hour in and Chloe started showing off her Loco side, she was not happy being in the car staring at the back of a seat. We tried to color, watch Moana, dance and sing to Mickey Mouse but nothing was wor...

Snackin’ and Trippin’

My twin sister and I will be going on a road trip with our daughters to San Antonio so we can go to Sea World. We are excited but, so nervous about how this trip will go given we will be in a car for 5+ hours with two toddlers! Don’t worry I’ll post about that in my next blog. 🤪 So I’m on week 6 of a low carb diet and taking Therapeutic Ketones. I’m still feeling great and seeing results I haven’t seen in a long time so, I don’t want to get off track so we decided to get some low carb snacks, to keep us on the right path!  The most important is our Pruvit Keto/os! And of course we had to have a variety of flavors! Hopefully taking our Therapeutic Ketones will help us keep our sanity. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Here’s all the other snacks and their carb info as well!  1/2 cup of raw strawberries 3.3 net carbs 5 blackberries 1.5 net carbs Beef jerky 5g of carbs  Smart cake 4 net carbs  Oh snap pickles 0g of carbs  Pepperoni bites 0g of carbs P3 Turkey ...

Therapeutic Ketone 4 week results

4 weeks on Therapeutic Ketones...4 lbs gone and 5 total inches lost. However this is just the beginning of the changes I’ve noticed and felt since starting on Ketone supplements.  I adjusted my diet to a low carb diet basically taking in between 45-65 grams of carbs a day. When I look back at my fitness pal and see how many carbs I use to consume I’m amazed! My daily carb intake use to be between 130-230g of carbs. I use to eat candy, chips and sweets daily. I would justify my intake based on my calorie goal but not really care about the nutrients I was taking in. Now I don’t even crave the things I use to. I now eat healthy fats, proteins and some carbs. Every week I allow myself a cheat meal/snack but other than that I’m okay without all the junk.  While taking Ketones I’ve noticed I have so much more energy as well, being a full time mommy can be exhausting and draining. I use to drink coffee with lots of cream and sugar to keep my energy levels up throug...

Healthier Me

I recently decided to make some changes in my life that needed to be done. I was stuck in a rut , not working out consistently, not eating right, just doing the bare minimum to hopefully maintain the weight I was at or to not gain more weight. That’s when I decided i no longer wanted to feel/look this way. I decided to switch up my workout routine and try something different. I went to Orange Theory Fitness, the coach; Cyley was so fun, so motivating and the class was challenging and different. I was hooked, I joined the same day. I also decided to use the Transformation App to help get a strength training routine down that I could do at home. I met a very sweet lady named Liv who inspired me and encouraged me to try keto supplements. She walked me thru the process, was very informative, never pushed them on me until  she gave me all the info I needed and was there for my questions. I started off with a 10 day pack. I was so impressed by the flavors of them and then I started to fe...

Mother’s Day 2018 You know the cheesy movies you watch where Mother’s Day is celebrated with breakfast in bed brought to you by your husband and children then you get to do nothing all day but relax while dad and kids play????Bwhahah those are such a joke. Let’s keep it real y’all! Mother’s Day is another day where moms get to take on the role we only do except we get gifts and get acknowledge for what we do. (Even if it is just for one day)  My Mother’s Day was a fun one spent with my family. J is still recovering from strep so it was just Chloe and I. We met my fam a Watters creek to have breakfast. My dad the usual grouch started our morning off kinda blah but we all just ignored him hahah. My brother treated my sister and I to lunch which was so nice of him. Afterwards we went back to my parents house and played cards, Chloe got to play with her cousin Sofie. Then Chloe and I came home, played outside and ate some cake that J got for us.   Overall I reall...
